Royal Lochnagar

First Society bottling bottling in 1996.

Built on the Balmoral estate, John Begg, its owner, received a Royal Warrant from Queen Victoria, having been visited by the entire Royal Family only days after they had moved into their summer palace. Bought by Dewar's in 1916, it joined DCL in 1925. The distillery is picturesque and small, in a lovely setting, with an understandably popular visitors centre housed in the former farm steading.
