Named after the estate upon which it was built in 1821, the original buildings were replaced in 1874. Until the early 1960s the machinery here was driven by a water-wheel, and when the stills were replaced at that time, every dent was faithfully copied and even the cobwebs were replaced. A very pretty distillery, its malt is rated Top Class.
