A soft and distinctive nose journeyed through a library of ripe fruit and leather-bound books covered with a fine layer of antique dust. Apple crumble and ripe pears joined varnished wooden shelves to suggest aged calvados before pineapple cake, lemon sponge and vanilla gave a bakery appeal. The palate deepened with wild strawberries dipped in dark chocolate and banana flambé beside toasted pine nuts and tea leaves in a cigar box. With a small amount of water came an image of old writing desks with a warm cherry pie sitting on top, and a plate of pancakes drizzled with maple syrup. Then mango and banana merged with marzipan and sandalwood spice before a sublime finish encased mint chocolate and plums in solid oak.
