Isle of Harris

Officially opened in 2015, Isle of Harris is the first commercial distillery on the island and the second distillery in the Western Isles.

After recently launching their first gin product, flavoured with sugar kelp seaweed harvested just off the island, Isle of Harris distillery are due to commence their whisky production before the end of 2015.

The whisky will be named The Hearach - the Scots Gaelic for ??inhabitant of the Isle of Harris??.
