Glenlossie

First Society bottling in 1987.

Taking its name from the local river valley, it is one of the earliest cement buildings on Speyside. The distillery was also equipped with an 1860s horse-drawn fire-engine (which was used to save it in 1929, and is preserved there). Extended from four to six stills in 1960, its make is important for Haigs blends, and is rated Top Class. For this reason it is uncommon as a single.
