This is the last of the "seven stills" built in Dufftown; the water from the River Fiddich supplied both power and production. Special bottlings were said to have been done for Edward VII, and its malt is also important for the Old Parr blends. Joined DCL in 1926. A new distillery was built nearby in 1971-72 with six stills, and the original was closed in 1985 and used for workshops. It is uncommon as a single.
