It is situated just outside Carron and built by a farmer in the 'green vale' between Ben Rinnes and the Spey. By 1898, the family also owned Talisker and Imperial distilleries. Electricity only arrived here in 1950. Floor, then Saladin maltings until 1983. Uncommon as a single, since it is highly rated by blenders.
