This distillery was built at 700 feet on the northern slopes of Ben Rinnes, on the site of a former farm distillery which was washed away in a flood in 1829. Acquired by Dewars in 1922, it joined DCL in 1925 and doubled from three to six stills in 1966. The malt is considered Top Class by blenders so is uncommon as a single.
