Balvenie

First Society bottling in 1987.

Named after a nearby castle and built to partner Glenfiddich Distillery, this distillery is still owned by descendants of its founder (William Grant). It not only has its own maltings and cooperage, but grows some of its own barley. Its product is considerably fuller in flavour than that of its sister distillery.
