Description
We felt the nose of this one was more nuanced than usual for this make. Initially we noted cardamom, sesame seeds, warm brown with studded with sea salt flakes and Iberico ham. Beyond that we also found a rising dunnage earthiness along with natural tar. Water brought crushed cashew nuts, new leather shoes, sandalwood and bacon lardons charring on a cast iron skillet. When neat the pallet was sweet with a gentle earthy spiciness, salty pasta water, oily peat smoke, tar, iodine and camphor. Some herbal smoke and bonfire embers twisting in the background. Water brought herbal cough medicines, tarragon, smoked fennel seed and mustard oil. The impression of seaweed in a spicy ramen broth.
