Description
We entered a stately home and walking through an art exhibition stopped at a still life painting of a basket of fruit from a renowned artist. The peaches, pears, grapes and strawberries were in such vivid colours that we imagined the fruity scent mingling with the sweet perfumed aromas of the antique wood furniture which actually surrounded us. On the palate the fruity, spicy and perfumed flavours formed a great assemblage like a honey and spice poached pear. Diluted floral aromas were added in the form of a sparkling hibiscus Champagne cocktail which translated into a fizzy, soft and velvety mouth-watering experience with a little teasing cinnamon scented rosehip spice in the finish.
