Charles Doig, a well-known distillery designer, was instructed to be compact when he designed this distillery, which took the name of Scotland's distilling capital. He said it would be the last to be built for fifty-nine years, and he was right. Its malt is rated Top Classic and it has long been a key filling for White Horse. It is not common as a single.
